Judges 11:21
And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country. And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.
Israel had put away its foreign gods and returned to serving the Lord, and He then began to work for them. The Lord's delivering of Sihon and all his people into Israel's hand, so that Israel smote them and possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country, belongs to the deliverance He then brought through Jephthah. Through Jephthah He fought the Ammonites and broke their power after eighteen years of oppression.
