Judges 11:27
Wherefore I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon. Wherefore I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
The utterance belongs to Jephthah's war against the Ammonites. It came after Israel had endured eighteen years of oppression under them. In that conflict Jephthah confronted Ammonite aggression and broke its dominion over Israel. His victory destroyed the power of the Ammonites that had long afflicted the people.
