To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
The Lord does not approve of subverting a man in his cause, denying him his case, or unjustly undermining him in a legal cause. He does not approve of unjustly overturning a person's case or undermining that person's cause. To turn aside a person's right and to turn aside justice, subverting his cause, meets with no approval from Him.
He takes no pleasure in making people suffer, for He is merciful and desires their salvation. Those harmed by slander or unjust treatment are comforted by this, for although wicked people may triumph for a time, God does not approve their wrongdoing.
