Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
No human word can bring a thing to pass when the Lord has not commanded it. His authority alone decides what stands, and no one can speak into effect what He has not ordered. He must therefore be approached with reverence and only in the way He Himself has appointed. Partial obedience does not meet His requirement.
No part of His commandments may be treated as nonessential to obey, nor may any of them be set aside for a substitute of human devising. Every command in His word is binding upon men. To depart from His commandments brings a curse, with the suffering of its consequences. To choose any path other than strict obedience leads to death.
