The voice commanding against degrading a daughter into sexual immorality is Jesus Christ Himself speaking from the cloudy pillar. The whole chapter around that command was set forth as instruction intended for the good of generations to come. Its requirements uphold just as lofty a moral standard as His own teachings given in the New Testament. Those who have accepted Jesus as the great Gift, and with Him all heaven, are thereby summoned to love each other with the same self-sacrificing love with which Christ has loved them.
