Leviticus 2:16
And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
The offering set out in Leviticus 2, including the act in which the priest burns a memorial portion of beaten grain and oil together with all the frankincense as an offering made by fire to the Lord, consisted of flour and oil and not of animal flesh. The name meat offering therefore does not denote flesh food. In that term the word meat carries the older, broader sense of food in general. To read meat as flesh mistakes the nature of what was brought and burned.
