Leviticus 23:2

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

The appointed feasts of the Lord are holy convocations belonging to Him.
The next verse counts the seventh-day Sabbath among these sacred convocations as a day for rest and worship rather than work.
The call is for God's people to gather more often to thank Him for His blessings, to remember His dealings and warnings, and to praise Christ for rest, peace, and joy.
Camp meetings, including the meeting on the consecrated campground, are such holy convocations to God that believers come up to.

These gatherings are specially honored by the Lord and are to be made as effective as possible.
In them people hear the message of truth and encounter believers.
In them people come together to seek God and receive spiritual blessings, so they should be united in heart and mind and not distracted from the meeting.
Those gathered in them are urged to seek God and turn from sin.

Coming to them requires family work of preparation at home beforehand, with preparation for eating and dressing secondary to deep heart-searching commenced at home.
That heart-searching includes prayer three times a day with importunity like Jacob, and home is the place to find Jesus and then take Him to the meeting, which makes the hours spent there precious.
Feeling the presence of the Lord and seeing His power displayed depends on not neglecting this individual work of preparation.
