Leviticus 26:8

And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

The verse promises disproportionate military success in which five chase a hundred and a hundred put ten thousand to flight, with enemies falling by the sword in extraordinary success given under covenant blessing. That victory stands among the blessings promised in Leviticus 26:3-28 for obedience to the Lord's directions, alongside timely rain, abundant crops, safety, and God's presence among His people.

The promises are conditional on faithfulness, and the chapter serves as an admonition in which obedience brings blessing and prosperity while disobedience brings punishment and the withdrawal of prosperity. In the disobedient course there come famine, defeat, and God's opposition, so the blessings cannot be claimed while rebelling against God. That promised prevailing shows what living faith does, for by living faith a person grasps the hand of Infinite Power and is so connected with God that His grace is sufficient in every emergency of life. The same covenant warns that God may scatter the resources of those who refuse to use what He has entrusted to them for His work.
