The reason for the prohibition is health, for the use of blood forms a diseased current of blood in the human system and cannot make good flesh and blood. Disregard of the direction brings difficulties, diseases and suffering of every type upon human beings, and largely accounts for the disease afflicting the human family from subsisting on diseased meat.
