Leviticus 8:35
Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded. Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.
The newly consecrated priests were required to remain at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting continuously, day and night, for a full seven days. That entire week was set apart by special ceremonies belonging to their consecration to the priestly office. Throughout that time they were to faithfully keep the charge of the Lord in the place and manner appointed. Obedience to that charge was a matter of life and death, for neglect would result in their death.
