Leviticus 9:6
And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you. And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.
The Lord's command for the dedication service was given with the promise that His glory would appear to the people when they did what He required. Obedience opened the way for Him to accept the sacrifice and to reveal His glory openly. Fire came out from the Lord and consumed the offering as the visible token of His favor. At the sight the people broke into praise and adoration and fell upon their faces before Him.
