Luke 17:6

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Christ's teaching on faith presents trust as small as a mustard grain giving orders to a sycamine tree. The command is for the tree to be torn up by its roots and set in the sea. The tree obeys such a command when genuine faith speaks it.

Faith in God makes possible what looks impossible to human sight. That power becomes real only as faith is put into action in dependence on Christ's words.
