Luke 6:30

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Give to every person who asks, and do not demand back goods that have been taken away. This command stands within Christ's instruction to love enemies, do good to those who hate, bless those who curse, pray for those who mistreat, offer the other cheek when struck, surrender the cloak as well as the coat when sued, and treat others as one wishes to be treated. When believers think they see wrong in a brother, remembering and obeying this word changes them into Christ's likeness and holds them back from speaking evil, finding fault, and misrepresenting those whom God is using in a good work. Obedience in such a case leads instead to doing good wisely and mercifully for the fallen race.
