Twelve Disciples Walking Out Two by TwoBible World
9:4Luke 9:4
And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
Luke 9:4 belongs to the first instructions Christ gave to the twelve when He sent them out to preach, to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick, and it stands as part of the account of their mission. The seventy received the same initial directions as the twelve. It directs those sent out to remain in the house that receives them and to depart from there, rather than moving from house to house.
That sending shows that preaching, teaching, and healing are connected and blended together, not separated. That mission was carried out amid satanic opposition, but Christ's authority and the heavenly agencies working with Him were superior to those forces. That blended work of preaching and healing is the very work God has given His people to do now in fulfillment of the Scriptures, and every person should study the Scriptures to understand it and to see how they harmonize.
