Disciples Find Jesus Praying on the Mountainsideby Lynnie

Mark 1:37

And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

After a day spent in preaching and healing, He withdrew a great while before day to a solitary place to pray, and there the disciples and others found Him while crowds were following Him.
Those seeking Him were people from many walks of life, including the people of Capernaum after His healing work, who sought Him to hear His teaching and to receive healing and deliverance, reflecting the needs that brought people to Him.
Those who found Him urged Him to remain with them where He had been ministering.
They wanted Him to stay and continue teaching them in the place where He had worked.

He did not stay but answered that He must go on to other towns and cities to preach and publish the message there too, where people had not yet heard it.
Public interest and opportunity to continue in one place did not keep Him from those who had not yet heard, for remaining in one place would deny others His ministry.
So He left those who had already heard to build on what had been taught and let the message already given do its work.
He came to draw people to Himself as Saviour and to preach God's kingdom in other cities, and would not let local popularity or hopes of an earthly reign make Him seem merely a wonder-worker or healer or turn His mission toward worldly success.

His withdrawal to pray shows He kept oneness with Infinite Power through communication with His Father, and prayer strengthened Him for His work and conflicts so that Satan gained no victory over Him though He was tempted in all points as human beings are.
The surrounding account shows He continued seeking people and returned to His work after a night in prayer, and His work included moving from place to place to reach others.
His example calls His followers not to stay and linger over those already reached but to go right on to new places.
After the truth has been proclaimed in one place they are to carry the message from place to place and warn those who have not heard it, leaving each place to build on what was learned.
The same prayer will strengthen every soul who comes to the Father in faith, refreshing mind and heart to resist the temptations that overcome many souls.
