Mark 1:39

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. That preaching and casting out of devils was saving work, instruction to be read and received as part of God's invitation to a rich banquet. The same ministry brought healing to the sick, cleansing a man with leprosy, with comfort to the afflicted and relief to the suffering and despairing.

He told the healed leper not to publicize the healing because the priests and rulers would try to obstruct His work. He kept seeking people in many settings, including the synagogues, and continued preaching and healing through demanding days, spending the night in prayer and renewing His work in the morning. He traveled from place to place rather than staying where people wanted Him, leaving those taught to build on the truth received while He carried it to cities that had not heard it.

His traveling preaching brought light to the places visited and sowed truth in the hearts of those who would listen, leading many to conversion. His example teaches those who carry the gospel to go to people in need of truth rather than confining their work to one place, proclaiming the message in one place and then going to warn others. His example sets the order for gospel work: workers are to work as He worked, meeting people where they can be reached in synagogues, homes, at the seaside, and in the highways and byways, following God's order rather than human devising, especially in work for large cities, and using the means available to them to labor for others.
