Mark 15:41

The women are those who had followed Jesus in Galilee and ministered to him, caring for and serving him throughout his ministry there. Those same Galilean followers went up with him to Jerusalem. Many other women also came up with him to Jerusalem. They watched his death from a distance.
The Galilean women stayed near the cross. They came to the tomb to see that everything possible had been done for his body. After the tomb was sealed, Mary Magdalene and the other Marys lingered there in sorrow.
