Mark 4:22

Nothing hid or kept secret will fail to be manifested and brought to light and come abroad, and will not remain concealed. No concealment lasts, for what is hidden is to be brought to light. Applied to the heart, a person's inner response to truth becomes evident through actions, showing whether the truth has taken root and borne good fruit or has been choked by evil and overcome by other influences.
What is secret or misrepresented will be made known, and the folly of those who oppose God will be exposed. Therefore when maligned, despised and reviled, God's children can wait patiently and trust, because those who honor God will themselves be honored by Him before people and angels.
The light of Christ's teaching and the truth is meant to be shared and brought into the open rather than concealed or hidden, so that it can enlighten and bless others and benefit everyone in the household. By the lamp imagery, light is not to be confined or hidden but placed where it can illuminate the whole house, understood as the world, so the work and its light must reach broadly rather than be limited to a small sphere. Private instruction must be preached openly and the truth proclaimed to the world in obedience to the command of Christ as the great Medical Missionary. Christ's followers are to let their light shine and God's servants should actively share truth and work for the conversion of others. This calls for openness and frankness in life.
