Mark 6:56
And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
Wherever he entered — into villages, cities, and country places — multitudes followed him and brought the sick to him, laying them where he would pass and calling on him for help. As many as touched him were made whole, even if they touched only the border of his garment. His healing of the sick went alongside his preaching of the gospel.
His power to heal was not limited, and his healing grace rested on the afflicted. He healed and blessed all who were brought to him, including children and youth restored from a dying condition and little ones laid in his arms by their mothers. The same healing and restoring power belongs to Jesus now as divine healer, whose power alone can restore the sick and whose grace alone can heal, saving to the uttermost all who come to him.
It is the privilege of believers to look to him in faith and put entire trust in him. They may humbly and trustfully ask for a manifestation of his power, and he hears such united prayer. He rebukes disease, restores health in a remarkable manner, and gives rejoicing by the presence of his Spirit, with no miracle-working power in man himself.
