Mark 9:12
And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
The saying stands just after the transfiguration, at the point where Jesus comes down from the mountain. There He frees a demon-possessed child from his affliction and restores him to his father. The larger unit that holds the saying, Mark 9:9-29, tells the same events told in Matthew 17:9-21 and in Luke 9:37-45.
