Matthew 15:29
And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
After leaving the coasts of Tyre and Sidon where He had healed the Canaanite woman's daughter, Jesus came toward the Sea of Galilee. Near the sea He went up into a mountain and sat down there. This coming was a return to the region of Decapolis.
Great multitudes came to Him there on the mountain, bringing to His feet the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, sick and many others, and He healed them all and ministered to the wants of the needy. Those healed and those who saw it, including Gentile people, glorified the God of Israel. For three days thousands from the surrounding region remained with Him and heard the message of salvation. At that same mountain setting after the three days He fed four thousand men besides women and children with seven loaves and a few fishes.
The healing and caring work He did there is a lesson for His people today, who are to have a part in it. The healing of the sick is to be done in connection with health institutions, which did not exist in the early days of the message but now mark a change.
