Matthew 9:26

And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

The fame that went abroad into all that land was the report of Jesus raising the ruler's daughter from the dead spreading through the land until the miracle was widely known. It was the news of Jairus's daughter being brought back to life going out into the region round about, so that what had been done in the house became known far and wide.

Although He had charged the household to tell no one and to keep the deed secret, the report could not be concealed and spread anyway. Many people had witnessed her death and then saw her alive and well again, and those many witnesses made it impossible to keep the miracle from being told.

That spreading fame was also advance news of His coming that gathered a great crowd waiting with joy to receive Him when He returned across the sea with His disciples. It drew people in great numbers, rich and poor, high and low, including Pharisees, doctors, and lawyers, all anxious to hear His teaching and to witness His miracles. Many of the sick and variously afflicted entreated His mercy, excitement ran high, and the people pressed about Him on every side, eager to see Him and begging His attention and aid.
