Micah 1:11

Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Beth-ezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

Micah 1:11 stands within the prophet's message of judgment against Israel and Judah delivered during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. It declares that Jehovah comes forth out of His place on account of the sins of the house of Israel and the transgressions of Jacob. That coming is attended by awful convulsions of nature.

In vision the prophet beholds village after village destroyed in the path of the invading judgment. Samaria goes down under the stroke. The desolation advances to the very gates of Jerusalem, and the end is Zion plowed as a field with Jerusalem become heaps.
