Micah 1:6
Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof. Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.
Therefore Samaria was to be made a heap of the field, left like ground cleared for vineyard plantings, with its stones poured down into the valley and its foundations laid bare in complete destruction. The heaping, the casting down of the stones, and the uncovering of the foundations show ruin made total and irreversible.
The verse stands among warnings of destruction, desolation, and judgment to come upon cities. Those city judgments are prophecies of destruction given as warnings, to be fulfilled in the last days.
