Micah 1:7

And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

The prophecy is directed against Samaria, whose carved images and idols are doomed to destruction. That judgment shatters the graven images to fragments, lays the idols waste and desolate, and burns with fire the wealth amassed through idolatrous harlotry, so that what was gathered as a harlot's hire returns to a harlot's hire. These scenes of destruction and desolation stand as a last-day warning that will surely be fulfilled, with such devastation soon becoming universal. They therefore summon all to be ready, for the Son of man will come at an unexpected hour.
