Micah 2:4
In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields. In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
In that day a parable is taken up against them, a lament with doleful lamentation declaring that they are utterly spoiled, that the portion of the people has been changed and removed, and that in turning away their fields have been divided among others. It is divine judgment bringing destruction and desolation upon them.
That destruction and desolation belong to scenes that will come soon and be universal in the last days. What the verse plainly describes will soon be witnessed literally, as surely as the desolation of San Francisco has been seen, for the prophecies of the Old Testament are the word of the Lord for the last day. Therefore all are warned to be ready also, because the Son of man comes in such an hour as is not thought, and the coming of the Lord will be unexpected.
