Micah 2:7
O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Micah's utterance stands among the prophet's warnings of judgment, set within a warning that scenes of destruction and desolation will become universal. It is spoken to the one called by the name of the house of Jacob. To that house it denies that the Spirit of the Lord is constrained or limited in His working. It likewise denies that the calamities charged against Him are wrongdoings on His part. His words instead bring good to the one who walks uprightly.
