Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
Many nations are now gathered against Zion, demanding that she be defiled and desiring to look upon her with triumphant satisfaction. Those assembled peoples do not know the thoughts of the Lord, neither do they understand His counsel. Their hostile gathering does not mean they will defeat God's people or prevent His purpose for them.
God will deliver His church in its hour of greatest peril, when the confederacy against her appears strongest. The Lord will redeem Zion from the hand of her enemies and restore her to favor and wholeness.
