Micah 7:10
Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets. Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
Micah's prophecy was given in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, contemporaneous with Isaiah, prophesying very definitely of Christ's coming and holding out wonderful promises to the repentant sinner. Its seventh chapter is a striking prophecy of last-day conditions.
It holds a lesson for God's people in every age, especially the last days: God's people will be vindicated before the enemy who mocked their trust in the Lord, and that enemy will be humiliated and brought low. The enemy who mocked God's people by saying, Where is the LORD thy God, will see their vindication when God brings them out of distress and pleads their cause. He will bring them into the light and show His righteousness, and the mocker will be covered with shame.
The speaker will behold it with his own eyes, and the shamed enemy will be brought low and trodden down as the mire of the streets. That enemy is the church's great enemy, the power described in Revelation 17-18. In the last days the great apostasy will reproach those seeking to follow God until their support may appear gone, yet God will vindicate them and bring their enemies low.
