Micah 7:2
The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
The words picture the condition of Judah in the time of Ahaz. Good and upright people had become so scarce that they are spoken of as having perished out of the land. While goodness was rapidly diminishing, the forces for evil were growing and multiplying.
People plotted to shed blood and trapped even their own brothers as with a net. The verses that follow carry this corruption upward to rulers, judges, and influential people who pursue evil and take bribes. Even the best of them are dangerous, and the day of judgment will bring them confusion.
