Nahum 2:7

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.

Nahum 2:7 belongs to a prophecy chiefly concerning Nineveh, the wicked capital of Assyria. It foretells Nineveh's fall, describing Assyria's defeat and the capture of the city. That fall marks the end of Assyria's rule and the rise of Babylon as the dominant power in the Orient. In this prophecy Nineveh serves as a type of many later cities.

The chapter containing the verse pictures the day of God's preparation. That preparation is for the second advent and the day of God. It is connected with the coming judgment, when chariots run like lightning.
