Nahum 3:11

Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.

Nahum's prophecy was given in the latter days of Isaiah concerning Nineveh, the wicked capital city of Assyria. That Nineveh is a type of many later cities. The verse pictures the city made helpless before its enemy, like a drunken person overcome, driven into hiding, and seeking strength in vain. It belongs to the prophecy of Nineveh's fall, which was fulfilled when Assyria was defeated and Nineveh fell.
