Nehemiah 11:24
And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
The notice stands within the record of the restored community that came back to Jerusalem when the seventy years of captivity were fulfilled. It belongs to the description of the condition of that returned remnant in the city. It also belongs to the account of the covenant they entered into together after their final return there.
