Nehemiah 13:14

Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

The words concerning this point to what Nehemiah had just done on returning to Jerusalem to cleanse the temple, when he cast all of Tobiah's household goods out of the chamber, commanded the chambers to be cleansed, and brought back the vessels of the house of God with the grain offering and the frankincense. He acted thus because Eliashib the high priest had allied himself in friendship with Tobiah the Ammonite through intermarriage, and had thrown out the tithes and offerings stored in the temple storeroom to prepare a room for him. That alliance and misuse of the sacred storeroom stood in defiance of what God had declared through Moses, that the Ammonites and Moabites should be forever shut out from the congregation of His people because of their cruelty and treachery toward Israel.

The prayer asks God to remember the good deeds done for the house of God and for its services and offices. Such deeds are remembered by God and recorded in heaven in His book of remembrance. The plea not to wipe them out is a plea not to erase those deeds from the record. Every deed of righteousness is faithfully preserved there and made enduring, including acts of love and sacrifice.
