Nehemiah 3:20

After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

The wall-building in Jerusalem followed a safe journey secured by royal letters to the governors of the provinces along the route, which gained honorable reception and prompt assistance. The traveler was guarded by the power of the Persian king and arrived accompanied by a military escort showing that he had come on an important mission. At the same time Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian jealously watched his movements to thwart his plans and hinder his work.

Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another piece of the wall, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. The rebuilding of the wall and gates is an image of restoring households and strengthening them as a defense for God's people.
