Nehemiah 3:25

Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lieth out from the king’s high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh.

Nehemiah 3:25 records one portion of the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem. That building work followed Nehemiah's safe arrival, when he carried royal letters to the governors of the provinces along his route that secured for him honorable reception and prompt assistance. He traveled also with a military escort that showed he had come on an important mission under the guard and consideration of the Persian king. From the first, Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian jealously watched his movements and endeavored by every means to thwart his plans and hinder his work.
