Nehemiah 3:7
And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river. And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river.
Next in order came Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, working together with the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah. They took up and repaired the adjoining section of the wall in its course. Their portion extended as far as the throne, or residence, of the governor on the other side of the river. That rebuilding of Zion's defenses pictures the thorough reform needed in homes, where parents and ministers are to restore what has been neglected and to strengthen households as a defense for the people.
