Nehemiah 3:8
Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall. Nehemiah 3:8 belongs to the account of rebuilding Jerusalem's wall while neighboring groups opposed Nehemiah's work. It records workers repairing Jerusalem's wall and fortifying the city. That rebuilding pictures the call to rebuild Zion's neglected places and strengthen its walls as a defense for the people. That same rebuilding applies to the need for parents and ministers to reform and make their households places where God is honored.
