Numbers 21:15

And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

Numbers 21:15 belongs to Numbers 21-24, which record the experiences of Israel. The central episode of that section is the attempt of Moab to use divination against the chosen people through the apostate Balaam. Balaam was covetous, yet God used him despite his covetousness.

Its immediate chapter records Israel's victory over the king of Arad. The same chapter records death by fiery serpents with healing by faith. It also records stages in the journey. It further records victories over Sihon the Amorite king and Og the king of Bashan. Fragments of poetry are included that enliven the account.
