Numbers 24:14
And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days. And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
Balaam, as he was about to return to his own people, told Balak that he would first disclose to him what Israel would do to Moab in a later time, in the latter days. The disclosure was that Israel would conquer the Canaanites and settle in their land. God revealed these future events through Balaam so that the Moabites would understand that Israel would ultimately triumph. The warning therefore made clear that any attempt to subdue Israel would be futile.
