Numbers 27:10

And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.

This provision stands as part of Numbers 25 to 27. When a man dies without a son, his inheritance goes first to his daughters, and when he has no daughters it goes to his brothers. When he has no brothers, it goes next to his father's brothers.

The chapter in which it stands safeguards the inheritance rights of women. These inheritance rules are ceremonial law rather than part of the moral code, and they ceased to bind after the cross. The provision exemplifies submission to God's will.
