Numbers 27:14
For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. Numbers 27:14 falls in the February 24 portion spanning Numbers 25 to 27. It names the water of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin as the place of the congregation's strife over water. There Moses and Aaron rebelled against God's command by failing to sanctify Him before the Israelites. In that dispute Moses spoke rashly and took glory to himself instead of honoring God.
Because of this rebellion Moses and Aaron would not enter the promised land. The verse teaches submission to God's will.
