Numbers 28:11
And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;
The beginnings of months had their own appointed burnt offering to the Lord. That new-moon offering belonged to the special services of the sanctuary. It stood in that system alongside the offerings appointed for the Sabbath and for the feasts. Its setting was therefore the ordered tabernacle worship, with monthly, weekly, and festal sacrifices each in their place.
