Priest Pours the Drink Offering Beside the Lambby emmanuel_higgins

Numbers 28:5

And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil.

The accompanying grain portion for each daily lamb was a tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil. Its continual presence on the altar signified humanity's unending debt of gratitude to God. The lambs slain morning and evening pointed to the death of the Saviour. From watching this service Jesus grasped that He Himself was the Lamb of God who would die for the sins of people.
