Numbers 28:6
It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
The continual burnt offering was the lamb offered morning and evening. It was ordained at Mount Sinai. Its continual burning on the altar showed that people remain under endless obligation to God. In the temple service it represented the death of the Saviour. The innocent lamb taught Jesus that He Himself, as the Lamb of God, must die for human sin.
