Numbers 28:7
And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering.
This instruction belongs to the law of the regular morning and evening continual lamb offering, requiring that with each lamb a fourth part of a hin of strong wine be poured out in the holy place unto the Lord for a drink offering. The continual offering kept upon the altar showed that gratitude and obligation to God are unending, an ever-continuing debt owed to Him. The daily sacrifice represented the death of the Saviour. As Jesus watched the priests offer the innocent victim, the Holy Spirit taught Him that He Himself as the Lamb of God must die for human sin.
