Numbers 30:8
But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her. But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.
The law belongs to the relation of husband and wife, and together with the companion case of a father and his daughter while she is young and in her father's house, it defines when a vow may become void. It is one of the only circumstances in Scripture in which a person can be released from a vow made to God. If a husband disallows his wife's vow on the day he hears it, he makes her vow and that which she uttered with her lips wherewith she bound her soul of none effect. She is then not held to it, and the Lord forgives her.
On that ground a wife who cooks swine's flesh at her husband's request is not held guilty on that account.
