Numbers 7:73
His offering was one silver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering: His offering was one silver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:
The offering recorded is that of a tribal leader, the leader of Asher, consisting of a silver charger and a silver bowl, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a grain offering. The charger weighed one hundred and thirty shekels and the bowl weighed seventy shekels. Those weights were reckoned after the shekel of the sanctuary, which served as the standard of weight for the vessels.
The verse is one of the places where the wilderness tabernacle is called the sanctuary. That sanctuary was God's dwelling place and the setting for Israel's worship during the journey.
