All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.
The sum is twelve bullocks for burnt offering, twelve rams, twelve lambs of the first year with their grain offerings, and twelve young goats for sin offering. These were the offerings brought by the princes of Israel for the sanctuary services. The reckoning gathers their separate gifts into one total for the dedication.
