Obadiah 1:8
Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
In this prophecy Jacob stands for those who believe and Esau stands for those who do not believe. The destruction of the wise out of Edom and of understanding out of the mount of Esau belongs to that division between the two peoples. That division will be clearly seen in the final conflict involving the image beast. In that day the line between Jacob and Esau, between believers and unbelievers, is made manifest.
